One thing is certain: no matter how many casseroles you have prepared in your life, you have never made such an easy and quick one. The only thing you have to prepare is potatoes. Otherwise, it is the perfect dish for people with little time or little experience in the kitchen. Because besides cooking potatoes, the essential art of preparing this meal is to attractively layer the ingredients in a mold.
For this you need:
800 g firm potatoes
2 tablespoons oil
500 g minced meat
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of pepper
250 g cream fresh
1 tablespoon of fresh chopped oregano
100 g grated mozzarella
fresh oregano in leaves
That is how it goes:
1.) First put the washed but not peeled potatoes in cold water and bring them to a boil. After 15 to 20 minutes of cooking time, pour the potatoes off and then quench them with the coldest possible water. Then you peel them and cut them into slices about 1 cm thick. Now wash the tomatoes, remove the stalk and cut them into slices as thick as the potatoes.
2.) Now fry the meat in olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Then take the pan off the stove.
3.) Next, layer all the ingredients in a greased baking dish. Start with the potatoes, which you should put in tight rows and half overlapping if possible. Spread the minced meat evenly over it. Then pour the cream fresh onto it using a spoon and sprinkle the oregano on the cream . Now put all the tomato slices on top. The last layer is the mozzarella in the baking dish.
4.) Now bake the casserole in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for 15 minutes. As a decoration you can sprinkle oregano leaves on it.
